In September 2025, Philstack completed the website redesign for Adat Shalom and launched the new-and-improved www.adatshalomdmv.org website.

Philstack met with Adat Shalom team members and contributed to rebranding efforts, collaborating with other designers to create the new website look and feel. The new site design is member-focused, making sure that anything and everything a user needs is only a few clicks away. This included creating several custom WordPress features that enhanced usability for end users while keeping things simple for the staff.

One of my favorite features is the “This week at Adat Shalom” button on the homepage. It was important for us to make the synagogue’s events as easy to find as possible. This custom widget pulls in the upcoming weeks’ events automatically from the events calendar that we included with the new WordPress site. The team simply updates the events in one place on the WordPress backend, and the data flows through to the homepage widget and several other places throughout the site.
